Process for UK Student Visa

Step 1: Offer letter

First stage is to receive a conditional or unconditional letter of offer from the University. Applicant with conditional offers are required to submit the supporting documents to convert the conditional offer to unconditional.

Step 2: Pay Tuition Fee and Getting CAS

After the receipt of unconditional offer letter applicant students are required to make the fees deposit. University issue the Confirmation Of Acceptance (CAS) upon receipt of the fees deposit. The CAS letter consist of student particulars, course information and payment details.

Step 3 : Prepare Your Financial Evidence

Applicant need to show evidences of financial stability (first year tuition fees plus living costs) as below:

  • London: Pending first year course fees plus GBP 11,385.
  • Outside London Pending first year course fees plus GBP 9800.

If you are self-funding, ensure that funds are held for 28 consecutive days before you apply for your visa online.

Step 4: Medical Examination

Next step is to undergo a medical examination at one of the panel doctors/ clinic approved by UK immigration.

Step 5: VisaApplication

Complete the online visa application form, paying the visa application fees. Also, applicant have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) to access the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Applicant need to book an appointment to attend a Visa Application Centre in person to submit necessary documents (including original passport) and have biometric information taken.

Step 6: Approval and Travel

Applicant will receive a vignette visa (sticker) in their passport, which will be valid for 30 days. Also, he/she will receive a decision letter from UK Visas and Immigration confirming that their visa application is successful. Applicant should show both the vignette and the letter at the airport. BRP must be collected within ten days of arriving in the UK.
